The pair have split their two previous meetings, with Cormier winning the title with a first-round knockout at UFC 226 only to have Miocic score a fourth-round knockout to regain the title at UFC 241.

The heavyweight championship will be on the line again, but also, the winner will have some claim to the title of “greatest heavyweight in MMA history.” The previous two meetings have seen big knockouts, momentum swings and controversy — primarily surrounding eye pokes by Cormier that left Miocic needing surgery. Adding extra weight to the fight, Cormier has said that he will retire after the bout, win or lose.

The rivalry will come to an end tonight at the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas, with the pay-per-view main card kicking off at 10 p.m. ET.

CBS Sports will be with you all evening bringing you results and analysis from UFC 252 in Las Vegas.
